"I really enjoy the supportive environment in this lab because everyone is very kind and willing to help each other. Dr. Li is also very caring and supportive toward undergraduate researchers, which has made research a really positive experience for me."
About Me
Dr.Li stood out to me because of the lab’s strong focus on mass spectrometry and its applications to important biological questions.
I currently work with my mentor Emily on a project studying lipid remodeling in maize under nitrogen stress using mass spectrometry imaging (MSI). Our work focuses on optimizing sample preparation and imaging workflows, including CryoJane sectioning and on-tissue derivatization, to improve spatial resolution and lipid detection at the cellular level.
