"I enjoy the supportive, collaborative environment and the opportunity to apply my quantitative background to real-world problems in computational biology."

About Me

It was not only the research interests that attracted me to Dr. Li, but her guidance as well. She is a very friendly, understanding person who makes sure to lead us in the right direction but at the same time allows us to think independently. In my experience as an undergraduate, it is important that an advisor is open to questions and answers them. Dr. Li definitely possesses those qualities, which is what led me to choose her laboratory to work in.

I have developed a computational pipeline, Hybrid EndoGenius, to analyze mass spectrometry data that I have implemented, validated, and put to application. I have currently turned my attention to model training to optimize the pipeline to identify invertebrate endogenous peptides.
