"What I enjoy most about doing research in this lab is working at the intersection of Chemistry, Biology, and Engineering to explore complex molecular systems and translate that understanding into meaningful advances in human health."

About Me

Dr. Lingjun Li’s research integrates analytical chemistry and mass spectrometry for biologically significant applications in a way that strongly aligns with my scientific interests and career goals. The lab’s outstanding research environment and access to a diverse range of advanced mass spectrometry platforms provides exceptional opportunities for scientific growth and high-impact discovery.

Equally important, Dr. Li fosters a highly supportive and collaborative environment where students are encouraged to share their ideas and pursue independent research directions. The combination of scientific excellence, outstanding resources, strong mentorship, and encouragement of intellectual independence makes it an exceptional place to develop into an impactful researcher.

My current research focuses on advancing mass spectrometry–based peptidomics approaches to address important questions in immunology, cancer biology, and translational biomedical research. I am developing innovative workflows to study antigen presentation, bioactive peptide signaling, and tumor immunity. Using preclinical models, I seek to uncover therapeutic targets and understand how dietary and physiological factors influence disease and immune responses.
