"I really enjoy the combination of analytical chemistry and biology, and how each experiment can lead to unexpected and interesting findings. The collaborative atmosphere in the lab also makes the research process more enjoyable."
About Me
Dr. Li stood out to me because of the strong alignment between my interests in mass spectrometry and the lab’s interdisciplinary approach. I was particularly drawn to how the group combines advanced analytical techniques with meaningful biological questions. I also really appreciated the collaborative and supportive lab environment. The mentorship style here encourages both independence and discussion, which made me feel that this is a place where I can grow scientifically and contribute meaningfully.
I am currently working on projects focused on neuropeptide profiling in crustacean systems using mass spectrometry. Comparing neuropeptide compositions in hemolymph collected from different sampling sites to better understand spatial differences and potential enzymatic effects.
